Leominster Youth Robotics has two different robotics programs.  First Lego League (FLL) and VEX.  The FLL program cost per student is $100 , VEX program costs is $150 per student.  Registration fees will be due by June 26th. (after this date, there is a $10 late fee)

What is FIRST LEGO LEAGUE?
FLL is a result of an exciting alliance
between FIRST and the LEGO Company.
Guided by adult mentors and their own imaginations, FLL students solve real-world engineering challenges, develop important life skills, and learn to make positive contributions to society.  This program is for Leominster residents or Leominster students in grades 4-8. As members of FLL Teams, students learn to program and build robots using the LEGO NXT Controller
kit to perform tasks.  Students are given the opportunity to design, build, and program a robot using LEGO bricks, sensors, motors, and gears. This gives the team members hands-on experience in basic engineering and  computer programming.

What is VEX?

The Vex Robotics Design System is a kit
to introduce students  to advanced robotics and engineering . The Vex Robotics Design System allows students to program the microcontroller with the "easy C" programming language.    This program is for Leominster residents or Leominster students in grades 6-8. Students compete head to head with other robotic teams on a game floor to score more points than their opponent  in an exciting  game.  The VEX robots can run in autonomous mode or with remote controlled input.
