2010 LYR LEGO Summer Camp for students currently in grades 1-3

July 26th-30th, 9:00am-12noon
24 Church Street (top floor)

You may sign your child up for as many days as you wish. The cost of the camp is $30 per day. It is not required to sign up for the full week.

Space is limited and will be filled each day on a first-come, first-serve basis.

To sign up your child or for more information, please e-mail us letting us know which days you'd like to reserve for your child and we will send you a registration form.

2010 FIRST LEGO League and VEX Registration

Registration is now open to any child who is a Leominster resident or student for the new seasons of the FIRST LEGO League (grades 4-8 as of fall 2010), and the VEX robotics program (grades 6-8 as of fall 2010). The FIRST LEGO League season runs from September-December, and the VEX season runs from September-March.

Due to the widespread popularity of the two programs, combined with the limited number of available team slots, early registration is critical. Therefore, students with a serious interest in the program need to register by Saturday, June 26th, 2010. Teams of those students registered will be made up shortly after that and you will be contacted over the summer.

The per-child registration fees are:
$100 for the FLL program
$150 for the VEX program

Payments are due by June 26th. After June 26th there will be a $10 late fee. If there is a need to pay in installments, or if financial aid is needed please contact us. This registration fee will cover the team registration fee, required materials (robot kit, mission kit, team laptop, etc.), a team T-shirt and two tournament entry fees. If a team decides to enter more than two tournaments, the members may have to cover the entry fee among themselves.

To register your child, please fill out a registration form and mail it with payment to Leominster Youth Robotics, 24 Church Street, Room 34, in Leominster no later than June 26th. (Make checks out to Leominster Youth Robotics.)

If you still have questions or you want to see robotics in action, please join us for an open house at the Leominster Youth Robotics practice space on the top floor of the Gallagher building on Wednesday or Thursday, May 26th and 27th from 5-7pm. (Registration forms will be available and can be submitted at that time as well.)
