FAQ

Leominster Youth Robotics is a collection of robotics teams, parents, business and community leaders working together to ensure that the youth of our community are excited about technology, engineering and science.  We seek to guide the youth as they develop skills and confidence to become the future leaders that our region and nation deserve.

Leominster Youth Robotics Mission:

We seek to open the minds of our youth through the
wonders of science; to enhance their skills through
the exploration of technology; and to enrich them
through professional mentoring.

At Leominster Youth Robotics, we have already started planning for the 2010-2011 Robotics Season. Team registrations begin in late May.  We will be holding an open house at our facility on Wednesday, May 26th and Thursday, May 27th if you would like to come and find out more about the VEX or FLL programs.  The season launches in September 2010.  Start forming your teams now and be  prepared for the September Kickoff.  Contact one of the Leominster Youth Robotics representatives for more information.

If you are interested in signing up for either of the two engineering  summer camps  that have been advertised on sandwich boards through the town, please contact Steve MacNamara at team549@hotmail.comThese camps are being run by the high school robotics program and not by LYR

  • We are a team.
  • We do the work to find solutions with guidance from our coaches and mentors.
  • We honor the spirit of friendly competition.
  • What we discover is more important than what we win.
